Consultation Fees

Therapy Fees:

At The Psych Centre our philosophy has always been we try to make psychology available to everyone, regardless of your socio-economic status. We offer a discount on the recommended Australian Psychological Society (APS) 2024-2025 scheduled fee of $311.00 per 50 minute therapy session. We base our fees on your combined family income.

Late Cancellation or Non-Attendance Fees:

If less than 48 hours is provided to amend or cancel your appointment, a 50% fee may apply.
If you provide notice under 24 hours or fail to attend the appointment, the full session fee may apply.
Fee Review for Emergencies: We understand that emergencies or unexpected reasons can sometimes affect your ability to keep your appointment. In such cases, our practice management may review the fees. If you believe your situation qualifies for a fee waiver, please submit a written request via email within seven day of the appointment date.
Prompt appointment start time: Please note that failure to commence appointments at the scheduled time will result in a shorter therapy session, and no reduction in the fee will apply. Medicare rebates are based on the attendance duration, and as a result, the rebate will be less than the standard rebate for a 50 minute consultation.

We value your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these policies, as they allow us to provide the best possible care for all our clients. Our practice policies are advised at the time on intake and detailed in the Service Agreement & Consent form.

ASSESSMENTS – ADHD, Autism etc.
Fees commence from $1,400 and additional fees may apply as assessments are dependant on the screening tools used and this will vary per client and their needs.

First appointment is standard session fee (refer to fee table above). More than one appointment maybe required prior to an assessment appointment.
Your psychologist will advise their recommendation of assessments required to your individual needs. A quote/invoice will be provided.
Full payment is required prior to the assessment appointment. Payment plans are available.

Accepted forms of payment: Cash, Credit Card, Direct Debit.

Invoices are forwarded directly to the following – Open Arms, Dept. Veteran Affairs (DVA), Aust. Defence Force (ADF), Employee Assistant Programs (EAPs), CTP & WorkCover Insurance Claims & NDIS Plan Managed clients.
